Yun Wu comes from the mountains around the city Wuxing in Juangsu province west of Shanghai. Because of the nearby lake and heat in the area, the mountains south of the lake often shrouded in low-lying clouds, hence the name "Tea of Clouds". Tea leaves can be harvested throughout the year, and comes from a slow growing variant of tea tree Camelia Sinensis. The infusion is not described as a great luxury tea in quality, but it tastes wonderful, and the price is definitely an acquaintance worth.

The content of minerals is not as diverse as in many large Chinese teas, but should not be known for this reason.

This tea is grown biodynamic and organic approved in the EU.
